1. A "drop table top" (can be lowered and raised) and tubular frame system make easy to embroider T-shirts, sweats,  pant legs, and other similar items. But EMT 1 also make it simple to embroider caps, flat items and fabric panels.
2. A precision-manufactured Melco embroidery head permits professional quality embroidery at up to 1,000 stitches per minute (spm) on flat work. It sews up to 650 spm on caps.
3. A prominently displayed control panel, with sensibly placed function buttons, ensures quick, unimpeded accessibility. Plus, it has a built-in memory that stores 16 different designs (or 250,000 stitches), and they can be randomly selected for embroidery.
4. The EMT 1's control panel is compact, but packs a huge punch. It incorporates a disk drive that allows the EMT 1 to function as a stand alone unit. Designs on 3.5 inch disks can be loaded directly into its memory with no additional equipment needed. If required, a number of machines can be networked (actually an amazing 128 machines can be networked) using Melco's EDS III software and the Ethernet option. Truly, expansion is limitless.
5. The sewing field is illuminated by built-in lighting that makes work safer and easier (great for the eyesight).
6. An intelligently placed emergency stop light button is perfectly handy for any unforeseen problem.
7. The large embroidery field is 17.3 inches by 11.8 inches.
8. An optional steel base can be a valuable addition to the EMT 1. First, it reduces vibration to a minimum, thereby enhancing the quality of embroidery even more.  Next, it gives the EMT 1 mobility within a shop (with locking wheels, of course). And finally, it provides additional storage space.
