Bobbin Question

I'm in the market for both a straight stitch and walking foot machine, and have never owned an industrial machine. Two of those recommended include the Juki DDL-8500 and the Juki LU-563N. Does the top loading bobbin on these machines mean that the article being sewn must be removed to change bobbins? Is this a big disadvantage? If so, what are comparable alternative choices with side loading bobbins?
