The Juki DDL-8500 Single Needle High Speed Lockstitch Sewing Machine (5,500spm) is a side loading bobbin. The Juki LU-563 Walking Needle, Walking Foot Sewing Machine is a top loading bobbin. Its bobbin is more than twice as big as the bobbin on the DDL-8500, so the disadvantage of removing the work to change bobbins is balanced by the fact that bobbins do not have to be changed as often. If a Walking Needle, Walking Foot Sewing Machine is required, I prefer Juki's DLM-241 or Consew's 206RB-4 side loading bobbin machines
